AbstractWe report a case of a 26-year-old, right-handed professional baseball pitcher who presented with gradually worsening right shoulder pain. Initial magnetic resonance imaging and computed tomography demonstrated a stress fracture involving the posterior aspect of the scapula at the junction between the scapular neck and body. After a period of rest, follow-up magnetic resonance imaging and computed tomography performed 3 1/2 weeks later demonstrated ongoing healing of the stress fracture.
