    AbstractDisseminated strongyloidiasis is a potentially life-threatening infection in organ transplant recipients that typically occurs within the first 6 months of transplantation. We discuss a patient from the Appalachia region of Virginia who appeared to acquire Strongyloides stercoralis domestically years after kidney transplantation and then develop disseminated strongyloidiasis.© 2018 John Wiley & Sons A/S.
