    AbstractThe use of artificial chordae for mitral valve repair has increased and result in excellent long-term results. However, a number of technical challenges remain, and there is an associated learning curve with this technique. We review the current status of artificial chordae for mitral valve repair and discuss the latest innovations for this technique.© 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
