AbstractWe present the case of a five-year-old boy with a caroticoazygous fistula, which is an extremely rare congenital vascular malformation. The patient also had patent ductus arteriosus, a common cause of continuous murmur. The murmur continued despite successful coil embolization of the ductus. Repeated catheter-angiography revealed a large caroticoazygous fistula. The fistula was successfully embolized using the Amplatzer(®) Vascular Plug 1. Transcatheter occlusion of caroticoazygous fistula was performed easily, safely, and efficiently with a vascular plug.
