AbstractAuthors describe a transgluteal approach of the hip which is not based on the somewhat unsure common insertion of gluteus medius and vastus lateralis. Anatomical basis and technical particularities of division of anterior part of gluteus medius, of gluteus minimus and capsule are given which allow preservation of gluteal nerve, stability of the joint, and solid reparation of abductor muscles.
