AbstractThe present paper is devoted to the forensic medical estimation of the harm to health inflicted to the victims of ankle joint injuries with reference to the role and significance of traditional goniometry in the practical work of traumatologists, orthopedists and forensic medical experts. It is shown that the use of goniometric data alone as the sole criterion for the estimation of the harm to health in case of ankle joint injuries is unjustified and hampers further development of this field of forensic medicine.
