    AbstractEnsnarement of inferior vena cava filters with central line guide wires is an infrequent complication that has been sporadically reported. The authors present 4 patients who experienced this complication. They review the literature, make recommendations to avoid this preventable complication, and recommend what to do once the complication occurs.
