AbstractThe frequency of 24 HLA antigens was determined in 43 patients with giant cell arteritis (25 of whom had polymyalgia rheumatica) and 12 others with polymyalgia rheumatica without evident arteritis. No haplotype was present in significantly increased frequency above controls in the total group nor when the patients were separated according to the presence or absence of polymyalgia rheumatica.
