AbstractAnkylosing spondylitis (AS) is a form of arthritis that affects the spine, the sacroiliac joints and sometimes the hips and shoulders. Andersson lesion (AL), was first described by Andersson in 1937 as a destructive vertebral body and discovertebral portion of the spine in AS. In this case, we report a 50 years old man with medical history of AS diagnosed AL by fluorine-18-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (18F-FDG PET/CT).
