AbstractPatients with uncontrolled hyperthyroidism presenting as an emergency are at considerable risk. The anesthetic management of a thyrotoxic patient undergoing incidental emergency surgery is discussed. We focus on the intraoperative problems and, above all, postoperative pain management with regional anesthesia.
