AbstractTuberculosis is a common disease in Africa, Asia, and South America. In Denmark the incidence is 10/100,000 and highest in HIV positive patients, alcoholics, and some immigrant groups. We describe a young Dane, who was referred to the department of rheumatology for back pain. It turned out to be tuberculosis spondylitis with a major psoas abscess.
