AbstractThe presentation of patients with abdominal pain is a common occurrence in emergency departments. Since there are many potential causes of abdominal pain, diagnosis may be challenging. Accurate history taking and appropriate physical examination are essential to identify potentially life-threatening conditions, such as appendicitis, and ensure prompt treatment. This article presents a case study of a patient presenting with right lower quadrant abdominal pain. Assessment, differential diagnosis and management of the patient are discussed.
