AbstractWestern medicine developed on the concept of the dichotomy between the body and mind, with an approach which targets the diseased organ. This mechanistic vision, while it has proved itself, has often ignored the mind and has consequently resulted in the care aspect being neglected. Integrating body-mind practices, which have indisputably proven their effectiveness, enables a more holistic vision of patient care to evolve.
