AbstractBag, clean catch and suprapubic specimens of urine were taken on the same day in a group of 30 unwell infants and young children. On microbiological grounds suprapubic aspiration was far superior to clean catch collection and clean catch collection superior to bag collection in the diagnosis of urinary tract infection.
