AbstractSituational analysis is not commonly used in nursing research; however, its usefulness in examining complicated phenomena that are locally situated makes it an effective approach to emergency nursing problems. This paper describes the situational analysis approach as an extension of the grounded theory method and uses 3 studies to demonstrate the effectiveness of this qualitative approach.Copyright © 2021.
