AbstractA case of renal adenocarcinoma localized to the isthmus of a horseshoe kidney is described. We underscore the importance of complementary US and/or CT to urography to study the acquired pathologies of the horseshoe kidney because the pyelocaliceal distribution of these kidneys may not facilitate correct identification of certain space occupying lesions. The angiographic study is considered essential for planning surgery for this type of lesion.
