AbstractScientific interest in the pathogenesis of tension-type headache (TTH) has lagged behind that of migraine, although TTH is the most common headache disorder and considered the most important in terms of socioeconomic impact. As a result, understanding of the underlying mechanisms of TTH has remained relatively incomplete.
