AbstractThe children and adolescents residing in rural settlements located in the vicinity of sites of industrial extraction and processing of hydrogen sulphide-containing gas were studied. The drinking water and ambient air in these settlements were shown to be polluted. Low indices of the children's mental, physiological, and physical development were revealed.
