AbstractAttention is brought to a unique case of an anterior dislocation of the proximal tibiofibular joint detected 1 month following closed reduction of a posterior knee dislocation. Open reduction and internal fixation were necessary to achieve a stable proximal tibiofibular joint. Additional attention should be paid to the proximal tibiofibular joint when evaluating acute or chronic knee dislocation.
