AbstractChronic obstructive pulmonary disease encompasses alterations in the parenchyma, airways and vascular compartments. This review is designed to help surgical pathologists evaluate the lungs of subjects who have clinical manifestations of airflow obstruction so that appropriate clinical-pathological correlations can be performed.
