AbstractAlagille syndrome (syndromic paucity of interlobular bile ducts) is the most common form of familial intrahepatic cholestasis. We describe the perioperative management of a pediatric patient with Alagille syndrome undergoing ileal exclusion and the specific issues associated with epidural anesthesia with this syndrome.
