AbstractVincristine sulfate was inadvertently given intrathecally to a woman with lymphoma, producing ascending sensory and motor dysfunction followed by encephalopathy and death. Pathologically, neurons were swollen by aggregates of neurofilaments similar to the neurofilaments described in experimental models of vincristine neurotoxicity.
