AbstractNon-invasive automatic blood pressure monitors (BP-103N, DINAMAP 845XT, Finapres 2300) were compared with the auscultatory method. The blood pressure readings given by the oscillometric method (BP-103N, DINAMAP 845XT) were accurate and reproducible. Agreement with the auscultatory method was especially good for systolic pressure. For diastolic pressure readings, there was less agreement with the results of the auscultatory method. The finger arterial pressure method (Finapres 2300) occasionally displayed greater variability than the devices using the oscillometric method.
