AbstractWe report a case of late femoral artery thrombosis after deployment of the Angio-Seal closure device. The unusual late clinical presentation, aggressive anticoagulation which likely delayed clinical symptoms and the challenging surgical findings are discussed. Physicians need to be alert for possible complications arising late after deployment of closure devices and vascular surgeons must be familiar with the design of these devices since they may be required to repair a variety of arterial injuries associated with their use.
