AbstractCrohn's disease is a common indication for referral to pediatric gastroenterology. While most patients with Crohn's disease respond to standard induction therapy, steroid-refractory or steroid-dependent disease is a frequently encountered problem. This review discusses the data existing in both the adult and pediatric literature for medical therapy of refractory pediatric Crohn's disease.
