    AbstractMigration of a ventriculoperitoneal shunt catheter is a rare but well-recognised complication in hydrocephalus treatment. Perforation into different organs or through natural or artificial orifices has been described. In this case, the shunt catheter has extruded through a Mitrofanoff appendicovesicostomy.
