AbstractGliomas are the most common primary brain tumor and high-grade gliomas the leading cause of brain tumor-related death in both children and adults. An appreciation for the crucial role of the nervous system in the tumor microenvironment is emerging for cancers in general, and the neural regulation of glioma progression has come into sharp focus. Here, we review what is known about the influence of active neurons on glioma pathobiology.Copyright © 2017 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
