AbstractThe following paper presents a fundamental overview of the relationship between the manner in which cut or stab wound of the neck is inflicted and the resulting injury. The dependence of the type and shape of the weapon is discussed as well as the direction of the thrust. In addition, the main differences between cut and stab injuries and the differences between suicide and murder are pointed out.
