AbstractIn this article, the director of Women's Aid, the national domestic violence charity in England, reflects on the role of Women's Aid and activism in the development of responses to domestic abuse and in the Economic and Social Research Council Violence Research Program. The article also reflects on the relationship between researchers and domestic violence activist services.
