AbstractCaptopril, an angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor used in the treatment of hypertension, has been associated with hematologic as well as dermatologic side effects. Two patients with captopril-induced angioneurotic edema, one of whom had fatal granulocytopenia and overwhelming polymicrobial sepsis, are presented.
