AbstractThe combination of an anterior shoulder dislocation and an avulsion fracture of the greater tuberosity can usually be reduced by closed methods. This report describes a patient requiring open reduction and division of the subscapularis tendon before reduction of the glenohumeral dislocation could be achieved.
