AbstractDifferent techniques have been reported for the treatment of severe accidental hypothermia. In this case, we successfully used an intravascular catheter temperature management system which has been developed to induce reversible therapeutic hypothermia in patients following resuscitation. In our patient, the initial core temperature was 26.7 °C, and the temperature management system allowed for successful rewarming without complications with a maximum rate of about 1 °C/h.
