AbstractAlthough the past two decades have seen an unprecedented interest among professionals in issues related to death, bereavement and grief, there is still a great deal of ignorance about grief among people with learning disabilities. Such ignorance can affect the overall care of bereaved people and may cause professionals to interpret normal grief reactions incorrectly (1).
