AbstractAir pollution is a major blot on our environmental health scorecard. Finding from many epidemiological studies showed that air pollution contributed to many health impact, being harmful to respiratory system, cardiovascular system and immune system, and was associated with declined lung function, increased hospitalization and cardio-respiratory mortality. These health impacts occurred even at exposure levels below those stipulated in current air-quality guidelines. In this paper, some findings from epidemiological studies were reviewed, and some considerations for the future study on this subject were emphasized.
