AbstractThe focus of healthcare payment reform must be on the "value equation"--improving the quality of care while reducing or controlling costs. Adhering to key principles related to value will yield successful payment transformation and result in more coordinated care and improved patient outcomes. Actionable data and information for setting goals and measuring progress is an essential element.
