    AbstractAlthough the survival of patients on chronic dialysis has improved in recent years, the quality and status of rehabilitation remains poor. Renal transplantation must be used to complement chronic dialysis in the management of these patients. Physicians should not be biased and commit their patients to one or the other form of long-term treatment.
