AbstractHead and neck squamous cell carcinoma(HNSCC) is the sixth most common malignancies of human beings. The prognosis of advanced HNSCC is poor despite improvements in traditional treatment strategies including surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy. Cancer immunotherapy is the use of the immune system to treat cancer, which provides a sustained antitumor reaction but an absense of chemoresistance. Cancer immunotherapy is becoming the forth treatment strategy towards cancer. Therefore, we reviewed the current state of immunotherapy for HNSCC.
