AbstractDisseminating research findings is a critical step in making research useful. Careful preparation of abstracts allows investigators the opportunity to communicate their findings effectively to other healthcare professionals. This paper presents criteria developed by the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care (ANAC) Research Committee to be used in reviewing research abstracts for future ANAC conferences. Content of abstracts and ideas for abstract development are provided, along with a brief analysis of the reviews of research abstracts submitted for the 1992 ANAC Annual Conference.
