AbstractAnkle and foot injuries are among the most common sports injuries and extremity complaints presenting to the emergency department. Although generally benign, some of these injuries have prolonged morbidity. This article reviews the anatomy of the foot and ankle and examines the approach and therapy for common types of injuries.
