AbstractMATTER: Liver biopsy is recommended for the management of patients infected by hepatitis C virus (HCV) and is currently the gold standard in assessing liver histology. It's an invasive test prone to complications with a morbidity rate of 0.3 to 0.6% and a mortality rate up to 0.05%. Since the last decade, researchers developed non invasifs biomarkers of liver fibrosis as an alternative to liver biopsy. These scores are based on different algorithms with various combinations of biomarkers issued from extra-cellular matrix, serum and cells.
