AbstractA joint working party has produced evidence-based guidelines for the prophylaxis and treatment of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infections in the U.K. These guidelines will help clinicians choose appropriate therapy and point to areas where further research is needed. This review summarizes the main recommendations and discusses their implementation into clinical practice.
