    AbstractThe purpose of the comments is the analysis of Professor Dmitry D. Pletnev's article Hypertension (experience in analyzing its genesis) from the point of view of modern ideas about arterial hypertension. Currently, a small number of publications of Professor D.D. Pletnev, a Russian scientist and clinician, unjustly convicted in 1937, have been preserved. The small work includes not only a deep and critical analysis of the pathogenetic mechanisms of this disease, but also an assessment of diagnostic methods, as well as a detailed description of the clinical picture. The paper, published in 1935, remains relevant and of interest to clinicians and medical historians.
