AbstractThe second article in a two-part series on electrocardiograms provides practical guidelines on how to record and interpret electrocardiograms (ECGs). It will help nurses to identify dysrhythmias, and enable them to explain readings and treatments to patients. The first article (Roberts, 2002), which was published last week, described the anatomy and physiology of the heart and how this relates to the interpretation of ECGs.
