    AbstractAn asymptomatic woman was evaluated because of a chest x-ray examination suggesting an aortic aneurysm. CT scan revealed proximal aortic dissection, which had apparently leaked into the pericardium. Increased use of CT scanning is expanding our knowledge of the clinical spectrum of aortic dissection.
