AbstractKidney transplantation is the treatment of choice for patients with end-stage renal disease. After receiving a transplant, survival rates are higher and comorbidities may resolve. As a consequence, more patients with significant comorbidities such as advanced cardiovascular disease will present for transplantation. This review highlights commonly encountered issues in patients undergoing kidney transplantation and recommendations are made for their anesthetic management.
