AbstractOsteoarthritis frequently results in chronic pain and has a major impact on patients' quality of life. We present a case series of 20 patients with chronic hip pain who received a posterior quadratus lumborum block with the aim of improving their pain and, consequently, their quality of life. The results showed global improvement in pain and quality of life. These preliminary results support our conclusion. Posterior quadratus lumborum block is a safe and minimally invasive option for refractory chronic hip pain.Copyright © 2023 International Anesthesia Research Society.
