AbstractBlunt cardiac trauma presents unusual fare for the average cardiologist. The pathogenesis of blunt cardiac injuries is reviewed, and a spectrum of cardiac lesions resulting from blunt trauma is presented, with emphasis on noninvasive diagnostic techniques.
