AbstractNotably, certain nutrients are effective in preventing migraine. Nonetheless, zinc replacement therapy for migraine treatment has yet to be explored. We herein report four patients with migraine who were refractory to prophylactic therapy and whose headache frequency and severity improved with zinc supplementation. Zinc administration may be an option for treating patients with prophylaxis-refractory migraine. Further investigation is required to determine the efficacy of zinc replacement therapy as a treatment option for migraine.
