    RationaleRadical surgery offers the best chance of cure, it is critical to expand surgery opportunities for patients with early-stage lung cancer to prolong overall survival. However, evidence is still limited regarding the application of neoadjuvant therapy with EGFR-tyrosine kinase.PatientThe patient reported here was a 53-year-old woman with right lower lung adenosquamous carcinoma.DiagnosesThe lung cancer was staged as T3N1M0. Tumor genotype disclosed EGFR Exon19 c.2235-2249de p.E746-A750del.InterventionAfter neoadjuvant treatment with icotinib, she underwent thoracotomy and achieved pathological complete response.OutcomesShe is currently receiving adjuvant icotinib therapy without recurrence or metastasis during 18-month follow-up.LessonsOur case indicated that the feasibility of neoadjuvant icotinib in EGFR-mutant lung adenosquamous carcinoma.Copyright © 2024 the Author(s).
