    AbstractPerineal pain caused by cancer in the pelvic region is difficult to manage. Systemic narcotics often provide incomplete relief. A patient with perineal pain due to recurrence of a rectal carcinoma successfully treated with repeated intrathecal neurolytic blocks is described.
